Prayer Coordinator

Hours Needed: 20/week

The Prayer Coordinator would develop a prayer strategy for B2THEWORLD. Working hand-in-hand with the CEO, the Prayer Coordinator Intern would collect prayer needs from throughout the organization — staff, partners, projects — and develop systematic ways for prayer to be embedded throughout the organization. Additionally, working with the CEO, the Prayer Coordinator would work to identify short-term and long-term prayer items to be covered on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a Prayer Strategy

This position is responsible for administrative and development operational duties, with a focus on supporting an excellent, mission-driven global team and partnerships to combat the generational impacts of war through the power of education.

Campus Ambassador Intern

Job Overview: The Campus Ambassador Intern will support the efforts to advance the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD in the location that will be determined.
Job Summary: The Campus Ambassador Intern will support the efforts to advance the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD on their respective college campus.  The Campus Ambassador Intern will work alongside our Portfolio Specialist & Operations Associate to organize at least two events, create a marketing and development plan for their campus, work with college organizations, ministries and churches on and near their campus, and help create a fundraising plan for one of B2THEWORLD’s projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to promote and fulfill the vision, mission andvalues of B2THEWORLD, you will:

  • Work with Portfolio Specialist to plan and execute local events.
        o   Detailed planning and promotion of 2 events for 2024.
        o   Writing thank you notes for events.
        o   Plan and execute 2 events of your own.  

  • Work with Portfolio Specialist to engage local churches and college campuses.
         o Meet and share the vision and mission of B2THEWORLD with pastors, campus ministry leaders and other campus organizations on your campus.
         o Present opportunities for collaboration throughout your campus – staff placements, events, fundraising, prayer coordination, etc.  
         o Develop an engagement strategy for college students and graduates from your campus to serve with B2THEWORLD’s vision and mission.

  • Support Portfolio Specialist in thanking current partners.  
         o Work with the Portfolio Specialist and our communications manager to develop personal and creative ways to thank each financial partner.

Job Overview: The Communications Intern will support the efforts to advance the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD through campaign projects, developing stories and updates for B2THEWORLD supporters.
Job Summary: The Communications Intern will work alongside B2THEWORLD’s Communications Specialist to develop and execute internal and external communications including presentations, social media, emails, recurring updates, and other writing and communications. The Communications intern will also be responsible for visual identity and visual content creation of the B2THEWORLD brand. You will be expected to collaborate with the Communications Specialist on a real-life campaign project and develop an overall marketing strategy. In this role, you will target audiences in specific contexts, guided by B2THEWORLD’s overall objectives and strategies. You will collaborate with the Operations Associate on creating either an event or campaign to increase engagement and grow our donor base. This role is for someone who has a pulse of current social media trends and is confident in how to grow our overall online presence. With a focus on producing excellent and on-brand visual creative assets (videography, graphic design, etc), you will play a significant role in telling the B2THEWORLD story.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide how the organization talks about B2THEWORLD’s work around the world by sourcing and developing compelling content from B2THEWORLD schools

This role will give support to the Development Department by collaborating on a summer campaign to increase visibility to potential donors and increase our donor base. You will be a critical part of helping spread the B2THEWORLD vision and mission. This role requires someone who is a learner and eager to take on challenges head on.

Job Summary: The Student Mobilization Intern will support the efforts to advance the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD.  The Student Mobilization Intern will work alongside our Operations Associate to mobilize the next generation of leaders for B2THEWORLD’s mission through awareness and advocacy for B2THEWORLD’s projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend local youth groups

  • Develop youth group curriculum to bring awareness to B2THEWORLD mission and causes
         o Develop small group devotional for students to be mobilized to lead a group on their own

Executive Research Intern

Job Overview: The executive research intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with B2THEWORLD Operations Associate on research projects to inform B2THEWORLD CEO &Co-founder, Dr. Benjamin Thomas’s writing and speaking engagements.
Job Summary: The executive research internship is a research-intensive role that provides the opportunity to collaborate with B2THEWORLD Operations Associate.  Ben has 4 books that are being birthed in his heart. The goal for this internship is to complete assignments that involve research and writing to support Ben’s book writing and writing of research articles. Additionally, you would work with the Operations Associate to submit your assignments and receive advice or insight on how to help build Ben’s writing and published works.  The executive research intern will research, draft, edit and provide support to writing projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the executive research intern, you would promote and fulfill the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD.  Additionally:

  • Research:
    o Find statistics related to war (specifically in the countries we are praying to work in)
    o Discover research articles on:          
    ▪ the impact of war on children
    ▪ education in the countries we are praying to work in
    o Develop country profiles for B2THEWORLD country list

  • Writing and editing:
    o Move ideas to outlines, outlines to paragraphs, paragraphs to chapters with Ben’s materials. Starting first with his finished dissertation and expanding to his book and/or his research article.  
    o Assist in brainstorming, researching, organizing, developing, drafting and editing editorial content for writing projects.
    o Assist in editing key B2THEWORLD documents.
    o Assist in exploring various landing places for written content.

  • Collaboration:
    o Work with the Operations Associate to receive feedback on research found.
    o Report to Operations Associate when submitting assignments with respect to deadlines
    o Attend and contribute to B2 intern meetings.

They are a champion to acquire new giving partners while building awareness of B2THEWORLD’s work through effectively using effective development processes and practices. Both relationally gifted and motivated by metrics, the CEC is energized by proactive conversations that culminate into seeing a potential giving partner introduced to B2THEWORLD’s work, invited to give, and by seeing enhanced missional commitment towards stated benchmarks and goals.

Additionally, they are motivated by seeing partners become more generous in their ongoing giving, and by seeing lapsed partners re-engage with our mission. They are involved in the entire process of bringing in new prospects and cultivating relationships that connect them to opportunities for involvement and financial giving and ultimately life-long partners of B2THEWORLD.

You will be a critical part of helping spread the B2THEWORLD vision and mission. This role requires someone who is both a learner and eager to take on challenges head on.

This role requires planning, creation, design and video editing skills. As a part of the Marketing team, you will be responsible for the visual identity and visual content creation of the B2THEWORLD brand. You will be expected to collaborate on a real-life campaign with your colleagues (interns). In this role, you’ll target audiences in specific contexts, guided by  B2THEWORLD’s overall objectives and strategies. With a focus on producing excellent and on-brand visual creative assets (videography, graphic design, etc), you will play a significant role in telling the B2THEWORLD story.

The executive writing intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with B2THEWORLD President and CEO (Dr. Benjamin Thomas) and other members of the B2THEWORLD team on writing projects.

SCOPE

  • Time- Full-Time, 40 hrs/week

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Move ideas to outlines, outlines to paragraphs, paragraphs to chapters with Ben’s materials. Starting first with his finished dissertation and expanding to book 2.

  • Assist in brainstorming, researching, organizing, developing, drafting, and editing editorial content for writing projects.

  • Assist in developing content for presentations, blog entries, articles and social media platforms.

  • Assist in exploring various landing places for written content.

  • Work with the Communications Manager to expand Ben’s platform.

  • Attend and contribute to B2 core team meetings.

Portfolio Specialist (Consultancy)

B2THEWORLD is moving from its founding stage to a growing stage. In 2021-2024, B2THEWORLD will train 1000 educators, educate 3500 children, advocate for 10,000 children impacted by war, and mobilize 50 educational leaders to foster B2THEWORLD communities globally. We are in a three-year season to grow our funding from $600,000-$2 million annually to achieve these objectives.

JOB SUMMARY

The Portfolio Specialist Consultant will work with the CEO to ensure that B2THEWORLD’s development strategies are successfully implemented while nurturing generosity and cultivating donor relationships. The Portfolio Specialist Consultant will be a lead teammate to help grow our fundraising presence in the United States by managing the various development processes and operations needed to meet the strategic funding goals. The consultant will be responsible for coordinating the portfolio activity of the CEO, creating development reports, refining development processes, processing gift acknowledgements, and ensuring that the CEO best leverages his contact time with financial partners. The candidate must be a self-starter, highly organized and motivated, and committed to building a development department at B2THEWORLD.

This consultancy will be compensated for a 15-hour weekly work schedule. The CEO lives and resides in Kigali, Rwanda (6-7 hours ahead of Eastern Time depending on daylight savings time).The Portfolio Specialist should be available for overlap with the CEO during the afternoon time in Kigali. The CEO travels frequently to the US for donor meetings and speaking engagements. The ideal candidate will be flexible with their work hours to accommodate the availability of the CEO.

COMPENSATION

The Portfolio Specialist Consultant will be compensated according to years of experience.

HOW TO APPLY

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the quarterback for the identification, coordination, and assignment of the major gifts portfolio and fund development priorities.

  • Assist CEO with prospect development, donor touch-points, proposal writing, and thanking donors.

  • Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual donor reports to CEO.
