Prayer Coordinator

Hours Needed: 20/week

The Prayer Coordinator would develop a prayer strategy for B2THEWORLD. Working hand-in-hand with the CEO, the Prayer Coordinator Intern would collect prayer needs from throughout the organization — staff, partners, projects — and develop systematic ways for prayer to be embedded throughout the organization. Additionally, working with the CEO, the Prayer Coordinator would work to identify short-term and long-term prayer items to be covered on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a Prayer Strategy

  • Identify short-term & long-term prayer requests

  • Spend daily time praying for the work of B2THEWORLD.

  • Organizing Prayer

  • Collecting various prayer requests and distributing them in strategic and creative ways.

  • Growing our Prayer Network. Working to grow our base of partners to regularly add to our prayer network.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated lifestyle of incorporated prayer.

  • Excellent oral, written, and public communication skills.

  • Ability to conduct high-level research and think strategically.

  • Strong organized skills, including effective time management and prioritization of competing demands/multiple deadlines.

  • Independent and self-motivated, as well as able to work collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

2021 FALL INTERNSHIPS

DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN

The Digital Marketing Intern will help manage email communications, social media, and help develop overall marketing strategy for the team-wide project. This role is for someone who has a pulse of current social media trends and is confident in how to grow our online presence.  

SCOPE

  • Supervisor- Development Coordinator

  • Location- Remote, with one in-person gathering in NYC (tentative)

  • Time- Part-time, 20-25 hrs/week

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advance the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD.

  • Manage all social media platforms

  • Collaborate with Visual Content Intern to produce creative assets

  • Strategize and implement growth strategies

  • Analyze our social media audiences and current market trends

  • Consistently engage with our online audiences

  • Engage on weekly team calls

  • Help execute team-wide fundraising campaign/event

DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN

RESEARCH INTERN

The Research Associate Intern will conduct robust and detailed research towards the following topics: trends of post-war injustices around the world, global educational inequities, and any other topics needed to best collaborate on the assigned team-wide project. This role is a significant part of B2THEWORLD’s movement, as it helps to inform us deeper and give even more credibility to our work.

SCOPE

  • Supervisor- Development Coordinator

  • Location- Remote, with one in-person gathering in NYC (tentative)

  • Time- Part-time, 20-25 hrs/week

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advance the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD.

  • Collaborate on team-wide campaign/event

RESEARCH INTERN

DEVELOPMENT INTERN

The Development Intern(s) will support the efforts to advance the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD. This role will give support to the Development Department by collaborating on a summer campaign to increase visibility to potential donors and increase our donor base. You will be a critical part of helping spread the B2THEWORLD vision and mission. This role requires someone who is both a learner and eager to take on challenges head on.  

SCOPE

  • Supervisor- Development Coordinator

  • Time- Part-time, 20-25 hrs/week

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advance the vision, mission and values of B2THEWORLD.

  • Collaborate on team-wide campaign/event

  • Develop a donor retention strategy

  • Develop and execute overall summer development strategy

  • Increase donor base through team-wide campaign/event

DEVELOPMENT INTERN

VISUAL CONTENT INTERN

This role requires planning, creation, design and video editing skills. As a part of the Marketing team, you will be responsible for the visual identity and visual content creation of the B2THEWORLD brand. You will be expected to collaborate on a real-life campaign with your colleagues (interns). In this role, you’ll target audiences in specific contexts, guided by  B2THEWORLD’s overall objectives and strategies. With a focus on producing excellent and on-brand visual creative assets (videography, graphic design, etc), you will play a significant role in telling the B2THEWORLD story.

SCOPE

  • Supervisor- Development Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES

VISUAL CONTENT INTERN

EXECUTIVE WRITING INTERN

The executive writing intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with B2THEWORLD President and CEO (Dr. Benjamin Thomas) and other members of the B2THEWORLD team on writing projects.

SCOPE

  • Supervisor- Communications Manager

  • Location- Kigali, Rwanda

  • Time- Full-Time, 40 hrs/week

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Move ideas to outlines, outlines to paragraphs, paragraphs to chapters with Ben’s materials. Starting first with his finished dissertation and expanding to book 2.

  • Assist in brainstorming, researching, organizing, developing, drafting, and editing editorial content for writing projects.

  • Assist in developing content for presentations, blog entries, articles and social media platforms.

  • Assist in exploring various landing places for written content.

  • Work with the Communications Manager to expand Ben’s platform.

  • Attend and contribute to B2 core team meetings.

QUALIFICATION

  • Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to the vision, mission, and values of B2THEWORLD.

  • Excellent oral, written, and public communication skills.

  • Ability to conduct high-level research and think strategically.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator will work closely with the CEO to implement B2THEWORLD’s fundraising plan annually.  In addition to the CEO, the Development Coordinator will also assist key connectors in at least cities — Austin, NYC and Northern Virginia/DC. The Development Coordinator must be a self-starter, entrepreneurial, administrative and highly motivated. B2THEWORLD is a young organization, and the Development Coordinator will be the lead teammate to help grow our fundraising presence in the United States.

JOB SUMMARY

The Development Coordinator will be coordinating all B2THEWORLD development efforts, helping set priorities with the CEO in terms of fundraising, help manage Development interns, working alongside and support our key volunteers, and help define our fund development processes.  Additionally, the Development Coordinator will work closely with the CEO to leverage his contact time with financial partners in the US, assist in his travel set-up, and follow-up on donors that he is connecting with.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified applicant would have a relevant Bachelor’s degree and 2 years minimum experience in similar fields.

  • Must be an independent worker with good track record in completing deadlines and projects, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Suite, and a person of integrity and professionalism.

  • Working with the CEO to create annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly development processes to achieve B2THEWORLD’s annual development goals.  

  • Based on the Case for support that is current, the Development Coordinator will help ensure follow through with the annual Prospect Engagement Plan. The Development Coordinator will be the keeper of this plan and manage it.

  • As B2THEWORLD grows and adds Development Interns, the Development Coordinator will manage each intern to ensure a great experience for the intern towards their individual goals.

  • Working with the key volunteers in NYC, Austin and Northern Virginia, the Development Coordinator will help ensure each key connector is staying on track, utilizing the proper fund development activities and moving forward towards our annual goals.  

  • The B2THEWORLD CEO spends a limited amount of time in the US. Therefore, his time in the US must be maximized for fundraising purposes.  The Development Coordinator will help with this, placing him in high leverage situations. Additionally, the Development Coordinator will assist with the CEO’s travel schedule during these trips.

  • Ensure each gift is receipted and each donor is thanked properly with a hand-written thank you note.
